Greg Childress, owner of G. Alan’s Fine Jewelry on Midway Road has renewed his sponsorship at the St. Lucie County Fair. This year, they will be sponsoring the Family ‘Ag’tivity Area. The area is a fun agricultural experience, and it’s not just for kids.

This is the 8th year, Childress has been a sponsor at St. Lucie County’s largest annual event. In addition to the ‘Ag’tivity Area, he also sponsors a chute and flag in the PRCA rodeo.

When you visit the area you will see baby chicks actually hatching, ride a John Deere tractor and pretend you are a real Florida farmer. You can plant seeds, pick crops and ‘sell’ at the market. Your ‘ag’ dollar is good to actually buy goodies from the products grown in our state. Sit down for a spell, learn about Florida agriculture, play with your food or just be a Famer for a Day. Learn by doing and have ‘gallons’ of fun! It is a ‘hands on’ activity for all ages.

The St. Lucie County returns February 26 – March 6, at the St. Lucie County Fairgrounds. “We’re proud to support the Fair and sponsor the ‘Ag’tivity Area,” stated Childress. “It’s an outstanding event for people of all ages.”
